Empire of Kima

Kima has always been somewhat removed from world politics. It survives in its own little bubble. The most recent and important conflict it's had with another country was the Doriathilan Invasion from 822 to 828 ND. Despite its isolation, Kima has trade treaties and sees frequent visitors from the mainland countries to the east.   The Empire of Kima, named for the continent the kingdom spans, is surrounded by ocean water. A generous amount of its settlements are coastal towns, and Kiman ship-makers are known for their craftsmanship.

History

Before becoming an empire, Kima was a loose group of somewhat-allied provinces. While they weren't officially politically unified, the countries of Doriathil, Novaria, and other kingdoms located on Udira viewed them as one entity for military purposes, but separate for trade.   The Empire of Kima was established by High Commander Elric following the failed Doriathilan Invasion. Elric ruled for twenty-four years, finally losing his throne when Ragna killed him during the Strican Rebellion. This marked the beginning of the Civil War. at the end of which, Ragna took the throne and named herself Empress.

Territories

The Empire controls all six provinces located on Kima. They united when threatened by the Doriathilin Invasion, and have remained united since then. Most of the Empire's control is exerted over Chema, Ephemere, and Strica, and the three remaining provinces largely keep to themselves. In the past, the Empire has attempted to crack down on the province of Katzan, but have been unsuccessful. To keep the peace, they leave Katzan alone. Similarly, Strica attempted to rebel in the past, but most of these resurgences were squashed by the Cheman military. The most recent Strican rebellion, however, was successful, leading to Ragna's seat on the throne.

We are and always will be.
