Mindweave

Effect

Allows the user to communicate telepathy with any person within 100ft (30m). The communicator can speak as they wish, but the responder can only reply in short sentences as the connection fades shortly after the initial message. If another person has the Mindweave effect and is within 300mi (482km), the two are able to communicate telepathically.

Side/Secondary Effects

Those with an active Mindweave are extremely aware of the emotions and surface thoughts of those within close proximity. This also makes them weak to mental or psychic attacks.

Manifestation

The air immediately around the user tastes like strawberries, and the air is slightly drier.

Mindweaves draw on the innate connection between the consciousness of all beings. While this concept is mostly unknown and is under investigation by a small number of mages, the Mindweave is the only spell or enchantment to actually breach beyond conceptual studies.
The way in which this spell is performed is a mystery to all but the highest magical officials. Even those who have had the ritual performed on them feel a strange amnesia on the specifics, only remembering a bright light and the sickeningly sweet smell of strawberries.
