In the millennia since the Council of Gods retreated from the earth, mortals have slowly claimed their place in the forefront of the world. Civilizations have risen and fallen, but nature still claims a large part of the untamed world. Magic is still erratic and unpredictable. Divine power is a rare and sacred gift.
