Letter to Brigadier General Gorfynn Longshot

14 Kuthona, 4709
Brigadier General Gorfynn Longshot,
My friend Finn Beornson,

I have had better weeks. My brother-in-law and former Black Arrow came for a visit and we "discussed" our difference of opinions on the course of the defense of my family. He timed his visit in conjunction with a celestial event to the Demon-Mother. It made things interesting. I regret to say our "conversation" ended without a clear outcome and I do fear it is an "argument" we will have to have all over again at a later date. Ameiko sends her love.

I was moved by your words the last time we spoke. It gave me an idea and I have begun planting seeds that I hope will bear fruit come Swallowtail. If not, nothing ventured, nothing gained. The last report from my crew at Skull Crossing Dam showed excellent progress on control of the unique properties of the dam. I am considering a trip out to check the progress in person come spring. I may make it a "vacation", bring Ameiko along and let her see some of the wonders of the East. Her adventurous spirit is as strong as our own.

Your bow is interesting, fae marks cannot be seen by most, can you draw it out? I would like to research it more, or at least have another Pathfinder take a look. Maybe we can uncover something interesting that will give you better insight into the mystery. Don't be afraid to send things to our lodge here in Sandpoint. My people will prioritize any research request made from a Saint.

I will see what I can do about the whiskey, I might know someone that can get a shipment to you faster. When I make my trip out in the spring I will have a case for you. Also, my friend, paperwork does not suit you, hire an aide. A scribe will expedite your work. Then, have a signet ring forged by the Abadarians, they will certify it with enchantments and the wizard mark it leaves is hard to forge. Might go ahead and just hire an Abadarian for the job, his financial management skills will help you stretch your funds.

Good luck.

From Sandpoint, I prepare for the future.
