Personal history
Like all bastard children of House Trajan, Stratonice's conception and birth was much closer to a dispassionate geneamantic experiment than anything rooted in love or lust, but unlike others there seems to be lasting good feeling and respect between her parents. Whether it's owed to that feeling or the unmitigated success of the experiment, it remains a fact that she is the first Trajan bastard to be legitimized in over a hundred years. Even before she was allowed to use her father's name, she had significantly more contact with the House than any of her predecessors or antecedents. Stratonice attended the Oceanic Academy of Wizardry as a young girl as many of the wealthy and promising of Libria do, but she diverged greatly when she spent her early adulthood attending the Imperial University rather than apprenticing with a Librian mage. The exact details of her time there are unknown, but when she returned she bore a last name for the first time. She maintains her original interest in Abjuration and contributes modestly to the field, but her true claim to fame is as the undisputed Librian leader in the field of Geneamancy. Her greatest ambition ever since the beginning of her career has been cataloguing the genes of the Librian people, and working to establish a breeding program with arcane assistance to improve the lives and capabilities of the city's residents.
Since Archelaos rose to power she has served as the Minister of Public Health, a position she embraced with enthusiasm as it is not only relevant to her expertise, but greatly expands her ability to make progress on her passion project. She is among Archelaos' most vocal and hard working supporters, likely in large part because as a full-fledged member of House Trajan her marriage is an important political consideration, preventing her from securing her position through becoming a royal consort as many of her peers have done.
Education
Stratonice spent the traditional childhood years attending the Oceanic Academy of Wizardry, and was then called to Solaire to attend the Imperial University's Institute of Arcanism at the request of her father, and qualified for only lightly restricted access to the Athenaeum of Blood.
