Alchemy
Alchemy allows you to make potions.
Potions require a mix of ingredients in a flask of water over a heat source, usually at an alchemy station.
Potions created using Alchemy can only be used within 72 hours from the point they were concocted. After 72 hours, a potion loses its magical properties, and becomes a brown mix of muddy water. This mix has no effect when ingested.
Because of this, potions cannot be sold or traded when created in this way.
Having a higher Alchemy level will allow you to create more valuable potions.
Alchemy Process
You can brew once per long rest. This activity takes 2 hours.
To brew any potion, you must already have the required ingredients for it. Potions greater than level 1 may only be brewed at an alchemy station.
Sometimes, an alchemist concocts a potion so skillfully, they only require half the ingredients to obtain their desired results. When you successfully concoct a potion, roll percentile dice. If you roll a 95% or higher, you keep half the quantity of each ingredient rounded up. If the potion only requires 1 of that ingredient, it is not consumed.
*Potion effects can be found in DMG, page 187-188.

- Fill 1 flask with water. Mix all ingredients for your potion into that flask.
- Roll an Arcana or Medicine sill check. If your roll equals or exceeds the potion's DC, you create 1 potion of the type you chose. All ingredients are consumed, and the vial now contains the new potion.
- You gain Alchemy XP equal to the level of the potion you brew + your Alchemy level (If you fail to make the potion, you gain 1d4-1 XP instead, and lose all ingredients used except any flasks and vials).
*Potion effects can be found in DMG, page 187-188.
