Khormon

Khormon, the one world, sits alone in a vast black sea. Few stars dot it's skies, for long ago the celestial bodies that filled the heavens began to flicker and die leaving Khormon 'the one world', that trawls alone, the seas of Khor.   The mundane beings of the world know barely of magic, they live ordinary lives in ordinary lands, where strange monsters and heroes are nothing but old wives tales, and the new magic is that of coal and steam. Men wage war over land and politics, honour and glory are concepts now long forgotten; crushed under the wheels of progress and technology.   Magic is volatile and mostly forgotten, the strange beings that once roamed the world now hide in the fey or dark places and only a mysterious agency knows of the threats that await humanity beyond the veil; you are one of them, humanity's last line of defence.
