The Lightbound

The light bound are a group of undead that become bound by the light of the sun or the moon. Mostly light bound are variations of zombies, however for a reason not entirely clear to scholars, if under the light of day or the moon they will look like a tree or other foliage. If you were to cut the tree down and look at the stump, it would seem like a normal tree, likewise they can be affected by magic that effects plants. It is for this reason some wonder if instead of being undead cursed to never affect the living in the light of day, someone cursed the trees that give coverage and protection to the denizens of Mystria that they will harm the living when in the darkness of night.
