History of the Northern Arm

In 358 BLC, King Bothandal the Crafter restructured the Kingdom of Laeryll and appointed a Province Keeper to each individual province of the kingdom. Province Keepers were given the right to petition and would play an increasing advisory role in the governing of the Kingdom of Laeryll.

The disparate gnome city states that arose on the Labarean peninsula in the first millennium BLC were engaged in cut-throat competition and at times outright hostility. Merchant families, known as Estates, were pitted against each other. In 150 BLC, a treaty between important Estates from Hervik, Galatigoo and Atradi established a federalized structure, in which cities and towns were ruled by local councils, but a Board of Estates seated in Atradi imposed laws from above. By 56 BLC, the Board of Estates had come firmly in the grip of one Jarion Clankweedle from the Clankweedle Estate.

From 5 BLC to 10 LC, Queen Morsyana and Queen Galythiel ruled the Kingdom of Laeryll as a Diarchy.

Inspired by the monarchistic traditions of the elves, Jarion Clankweedle names himself King of the Kingdom of Labar and takes on the faux-elven name Jalyxx. The coronation is the definitive end of the Board of Estates.

In 9 LC, Morsyana has garnered support from the Red Rock Elves, the Flametongues and many High Wizards from the Seven Schools of Magic. While Galythiel was on a diplomatic mission to Hervik in the Kingdom of Labar, Morsyana had the Red Rock Elves take over the Dathyllian city Prydisyrr and instructed Laeryllian troops to head towards Silimanis and overtake human lands. At the same time, she exiled the Labarean ambassador Basil Flutenkrank from elven lands and sent a cabal of dark magic sorcerors to join the ranks of the army.

The Porcupine provides a loan to Galythiel with which she can hire dwarven mercenaries for support during the War of the Sisters.

From 39 LC to 441 LC, Queen Galythiel ruled the Kingdom of Laeryll, together with her husband Duruth Ilbaereth.

King Jalyxx II succeeds King Jalyxx to rule the Kingdom of Labar.

From 441 LC to 599 LC, Olyxx the Warborn (also Olyxx II), ruled the Kingdom of Laeryll together with his wife Basonda of Zhai.

In 599, Olyxx the Young was crowned King Olyxx III of the Kingdom of Laeryll. He is married to Queen Ceanna the Wise.

In 724 LC, the Labarean Empire invaded Silimanis as part of its effort to obtain more human slaves. Fighting between the gnomes and the humans lasted for two years, but in 726 LC, Silimanis was firmly under the control of the Labareans.
