Eribell Gauntshyn

Eribell Gauntshyn is the Province Keeper of Barael. A stout elf, he speaks with a harsh accent and is neutral towards most politics in the Kingdom of Laeryll. Gauntshyn is an adventurous trader, and likes to travel across both the Northern Arm and the Southern Arm to strike deals and strengthen the trade of his Province.

Position

Eribell Gauntshyn opposed a reconquest of the coastal areas, believing that buffer zones relieve tensions and boost trade. Yet he sees weaknesses in the Hilltower Treaty, which allows for military movements through existing buffer zones. He believes the treaty should be renegotiated as soon as things calm down again, but also argues that the best opportunities to do so have been wasted.
Once the the dwarves from The Porcupine are in, Gauntshyn will agree with military action against the Labarean Empire. He knows they are considering to do so if the gnomes move southwards through Zhai.
