Personal history

Child soldier

As a child, Alicia proved to be impulsive and prone to tantrums, which brought the Labarean authorities to enlist her in the Labarean Imperial Army. For years, she ran missions with the army and learnt to put her fits of anger to use, but she became best known for the entertainment she provided at military bases, singing and dancing and improving troop morale through exciting costumed performances that brought her the Flossbottom stage name. Her reputation grew, and before long she was put on stage by the Labarean authorities and traveled across the region.

Independence and Motherhood

While most of her profits went to the Labareans, Alicia was smart enough to pocket as much as she could and save up. In 876, at age 17, she had saved enough to afford the Independence Tax, buying her way out of slavery. She joined a group of traveling musicians and made sure she always had enough money to keep paying for her independence. Within a few years, her fame had spread enough for her to be invited for shows in Dathyll, where she met the alchemist Aendir Billiduru. The two fell in love and started an affair and in the fall of 880 LC, Alicia became pregnant of Bingverd Flossbottom.   Amidst Billiduru's circles, the child was a source of shame and Aendir did not formally recognise his half-elf son upon birth, although he did not concern himself with the opinions of others. Bingverd moved in with Aendir in Prydisyrr, while Alicia kept traveling for her entertainment career. Bingverd took on the stage name of Alicia as his last name, although everyone in the city knew he was a son of Aendir.   As Bingverd grew up, he took on both the alchemical interests of his father and the love for showbusiness that his mother had. He traveled the region with her, from Qosid to Silimanis and from Pothael to the Arkos Plains and started enjoying the parties as much as the performances. As he combined his alchemical talents with the tastes of his mother's audience, he made a good profit and started his own life, while Alicia kept touring.

Indentured servitude

Alicia, however, saw her fate darken even as her career skyrocketed. Through the machinations of local officials and a nasty case of powder love, Alicia lost her wealth in the summer of 903 and could not pay her Independence Tax to Silimani authorities on Marat 1. She was bought Doobefor Durbunkel, a Labarean judge from Hilltower, who claimed her for her amusement and who sent her off to make money for him during the Festival of Light.   During a festival event, Doobefur was invited to a lavish party in Thellur, hosted by Crucillus Varalei. He was prompted to bring a gift that could be auctioned off and decided to go with Alicia. Together with a band of musical orcs, Durbunkel traveled to Qosid, where they performed in Oltumur and Pibabared, although they were forcefully removed from the latter commune once it became clear Alicia was enslaved through magical means (using a Necklace of Binding and maltreated.   In Thellur, Durbunkel stayed in Varalei's Red Palace, but one day before the party would commence, Varalei's mansion was invaded by Bingverd Flossbottom, Bor Durlyne, Thardis the Wanderer, Tijl Morgenster and Aron Staal. The group fought and deceived their way through the mansion, destroyed the necklace and rescued Alicia, who managed to get her revenge on some of the orcs in the band.
