Ameri
An intelligent, bipedal feline species. Somewhat shorter than the average human and more slender, they're far quicker and have much better reflexes than most other races.
Basic Information
Anatomy
The Ameri resemble nothing more than bipedal felines. Usually standing a few inches below the height of the average human, they are notable for having feline muzzles, eyes and ears, as well as tails and fur. All members have claws on hands and feet, though they aren't as large as many people imagine.
Facial markings and fur coloring almost always indicate family line: stripes are common and the pattern can tell family line. Southern, Jungle Ameri often have spots, and some desert-dwellers lack coloring altogether, their fur simply being a flat golden color.
Males often grow manes that can extend several inches.
Ecology and Habitats
Ameri thrive in warmer climates, though they can adapt to colder ones given time (usually they grow thicker fur, a completely natural reaction.) Deserts, jungles and grasslands are their preferred lands.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Ameri hearing and night vision are far better than those of the other mortal races- they can see in near darkness as well as daylight, and can hear small sounds at great distances.
