The Grandmeal

After everyone had finished harvesting and the weather getting a little better, we gathered together for the most lavish lunch of the year. Every kinsman you can think of - your 3rd cousins, grandmothers, siblings, all of us - preparing together and eat on the floor out of those little dishes, some manufactured for the special ocasion. When I think of yams and sweet potatoes, since now I can acsess them and thank Kastav for that, I can't help but want for the flavour of duck and everything buttered; it is my childhood after all. But I want to know, given that I know you to be one of us, have you ever gone through this? No, you shake your head. Well then, you seem to have knowledge that is comparable to that of decaying fruit. How much information do you want?
  The Grandmeal is an Izij tradition that at the beginning of the Pimwakiruhang .
