The Cadiric Ocean (kaid-EER-ik)

The Cadiric Ocean is the central ocean of Kezoo. It lies between all five continents. It is the home of many of the Merfolk: Kansies and Singnarien and Estalians and Dallen. It is the shallowest sea, and many coral reefs, the home of the Estalians, live there. To the north lie the lands of Men: Tectomia and Lanfibia. To the south lie the lands of the Dwarfs: Zenup. To the east lie the smaller lands of the Ombors: Mazara. To the west lie the lands of the Elves: Racia. There are many islands in the Cadiric Ocean. The Coranian Islands lie south of Tectomia. Off the coast of Mazara are the Singnarien Islands, where the Merfolk of the shore dwell. In the Gulf of Garthorth, in the western part of Zenup, lie the Garthorth Islands. North of the Gulf of Garthorth and west of the Coranian Islands lie the Isle of Narsha, the land of peace, where still The Eldest blood runs strong with the blood of the Dallen. But of all oceans the Temquite loved this ocean best, for many ships and other craft sailed the Cadiric Ocean. They delighted in raising a storm and seeing the men clinging to the mast as it was dragged into the sea.

Of all seas, the Eldest most often sailed the Cadiric Ocean, and if they went into other oceans, they never went far, for if they lost sight of the Cadiric Ocean, their hearts became heavy, and they felt weary.
