The Wagons of Wonder Vehicle in Keverynn | World Anvil

The Wagons of Wonder

The Emporium of Wonder is a tight knit troupe of performers that travel around Keverynn. They're often confused for Nomads given their chosen lifestyle, but they have no affiliation with any of the five Nomadic tribes.   Their vehicles are collectively known as the Wagons of Wonder. There are a total of seven of them in the troupe, each one identical in appearance. The troupe goes to great pains to make sure that the horses pulling the wagons are as similar in appearance as possible. Their life on the road isn't conducive to breeding their own otherwise that would be a viable option.   The wagons themselves are boxy in shape with slightly curved roofs. The exterior of all the wagons are painted with a motif of the three moons on one side and the words 'Emporium of Wonder' on the other. The wagons have no windows but the back of the wagon has a door that splits in two. It can be used to exit the vehicle or to just allow natural light in. During travel time, these doors are locked shut.   The interiors are allowed to be personalized to the tastes of their occupants. There are storage spaces for personal items, a lockable cabinet for food items, and spaces where bedrolls can be laid out.

Power Generation

The wagons serve as living quarters for the performers. Each one has a small wood burning stove for warmth and cooking and a hook on the ceiling where oil lamps can be placed when the wagon isn't in transit.

Propulsion

It's pulled by a single draft horse at the front. A driver sits on a bench behind and slightly above the horse to direct its movements and speed.
