Sword of the Master
Mechanics & Inner Workings
Shortly after its forging it was imbued with the soul of its last Grandmaster. She remains alive within the blade although she is frequently in a dormant state.
She can communicate with her bearer through dreams, visions, and sounds. She has retained some of the abilities she had when she was alive and can extend some measure of protection to her wielder. The stories say that it is supposedly able to give its bearer insight into things, sometimes even coming as a voice in your head. It's different for everyone. Prolonged contact with the blade strengthens its abilities. All of those who have held it were reluctant to use it to kill.
She exclusively chooses women to carry her as only a woman would posses the abilities she's searching for.
Significance
This sword has the ability to impart visions on its chosen bearer. This is due to the presence of a human soul within it. The blade's purpose is to find someone with the requisite combination of abilities to reform the Sisterhood.

Raw materials & Components
Its construction is identical to every other kaneth-type sword produced by the Sisterhood from 675 to 732. Put side by side with any others they would be visually indistinguishable.
Tools
The sword has a leather scabbard which, while well cared for and oiled, is cracked with age and its brown color has faded in spots that have been exposed to far too much sunlight. Strands of silver metal wind their way around the entire scabbard in elegant curves and whorls. Towards the top one of the whorls curls around a red gem.
The blade is long and narrow, its double edged blade was black and gives off a faint glow.
A really interesting concept. I would like to know more about Estarra fet Ijalhet, her intentions, and the circumstances of forging the sword. Was the soul lingering around, and she saw an opportunity to go in? Was her soul called? Or was she forging the sword and gave her life to pass her soul into the sword? Looking forward to more articles during SC to learn more about your world.
The answers to those questions are somewhat spoiler-ish to the novel series this blade appears in. I'll see what I can add in without spoiling a fairly significant plot point.
Fair enough, I know how hard it is to publish these articles and not fall in "spoiler territory"
I've updated Estarra's page to give a little more info.
