Elementals in Keverynn | World Anvil

Elementals

Air elementals
They're far less deceptive than their other counterparts and they all have the same general appearance with variations within each. All have the same basic summoning ritual, so it’s up to the power level and strength of will of the summoner to choose which one they’re calling.

Zarakshasha – air elemental; they have long pointed ears, the same winglets as the Aikinleh, and six wings.
Aikinleh – air elemental; they look more like ryuutenshi but they have winglets on their wrists and ankles. Aikinleh are known to never give a proper straight answer and are very cryptic. Some have been known to speak only in riddles.
Tahree – air elemental; they are the first level and look like a human with wings attached to its arms. They are capable of flight and often float around their summoner. They’re the most helpful of elementals and the friendliest. They are often used to watch over something for a short period of time.
  Earth elementals
They are slow to rouse until they’re used to the summoner.

Rastet – earth elemental; they are the first ones learned. These elementals resemble a small person with an androgynous figure. To summon one requires very little ritual but a lot of concentration. All you require is a grey candle and a pinch of earth. You sprinkle the earth into the flame in a counter clockwise direction while speaking the words to bring the Rastet to you. They are very shy and not prone to the trickery and double talk common in other elementals.
Shakara – earth elemental; they are very dangerous and are prone to deception unless you know how to talk to them. They are typically depicted as being large, rocky beings with no gender features, but anyone capable of summoning these creatures can tell you that’s far from the truth. They appear to be wolfling-like with a long dragon-like tail and a large spread of antlers on their head. Summoning one requires a powder made of the bark of a tree that grows only in the Elnnwood and an incantation.
Talisenn – earth elemental; they can only be summoned on a flat, smooth surface such as a mirror. They either have the lower body of a deer and the upper body of a chume’taly or the other way around. They dislike being summoned and will do anything to be permitted to return to their plane of existence.
Fire elementals
They are highly temperamental and dislike being summoned, finding our plane of existence too cold for their tastes.

Zephir’im – fire elemental; a summoning circle is required to keep the elemental from harming its summoner, allowing it to escape this plane. Zephir’im have been known to kill the summoners if they get the chance.
Verann – fire elemental; they are incapable of doing anything about being summoned, and are the most cooperative in order to speed their return to their plane of existence.
Yanaweh – fire elemental; a summoning circle is required to keep the elemental from harming its summoner, allowing it to escape this plane.
Water elementals
Those of the first two levels can only be summoned inside a container of water. It doesn’t need to be very large, but there has to be water inside.

Delorenn – water elemental; are also extremely cryptic and will often give information that will be incorrectly interpreted.
Mesham’inn – water elemental
Merashenn – water elemental; they are much nicer to deal with. They prefer to be summoned in water, but can be called without it. They consider themselves above the trickery of the lower elementals and prefer to speak bluntly. They tell the absolute truth, regardless of what the summoner wants to really hear.
