Kethira

Kethira is a blue marble in the fabric of space. It has four siblings that travel with it around Nolomar, the star of this system. The surrounding skies, filled with other stars, are known to control one's lives by their positioning upon the day of your birth.   It is known that Kethira orbits its sun at an average distance of 108,000,000 statute miles or 173,000,000 kilometers. The calculation of these distances is well recorded, and indeed the experimentation to derive these numbers is often repeated as a learning exercise for young scholars who question their masters.   The orbital year is measured by 360 days. The rotational day is measured by 24 hours. The planet's axis is included by 21 degrees. The planet has a diameter of approximately 7,100 miles (11,500 Km).   The planet is orbited by only one moon, called Yael.   Kethira is predominantly a water planet. It has two large polar icecaps and three continental land masses. These continents are, in order of size, Lythia, Mernat, and Kamarand.
