Kemur

Created by

Kemur is a nation steep in culture and history. They value nature, but more importantly, the balance of the world itself. Their culture is centered around their belief that the world--known to them as Kemur--is a sort of deity that gives birth to all things. Beyond that even, they believe that Kemur is not only the great mother, but existence itself; all the races, flora, fauna, the landscape; everything is Kemur, and Kemur is everything. The people of this nation, named after their mother Goddess, tend to lean towards the more benevolent side of existence, but understand the need for balance, both creation and destruction.   Kemur is not unified culturally, however. There are many groups of people with various histories, traits, and specialties that come together to form their nation. In some sense, Kemur is a class based society, though that does not mean one is stuck into the people they were born to. Anyone can be anything, so long as they prove worthy of the position and life thereof. Many would consider them a mystic society of guarded secrets, not for their own power but to protect the balance of all things(though not many realize this). There are also many who would classify the people of this nation as primitive for their ways differing from other "civilized" nations. There language itself stems from their beliefs. Individual things obviously exist, but the language is more vague and unified, showing that all are one and the same. For example, "Kemur" describes the language, the people, the nation, and their deity.   Ultimately, Kemur is a vast home to many, humans and otherwise. They are almost quite literally down to earth, in a manner of speaking. There are no finer healers or seers anywhere else, though you will not find magic of war. Such ways are forbidden, almost seen as an abomination, tainting the gift of magic to purposes of greed and destruction. They watch, and they worry, for the winds of the world bode ill.
