The Unnamed Sirens

The popularity of the Tudines has ebbed and flowed like waves since the beginning of the sirens. Those such as the True Ones have sought to overthrow them, but somehow the Tudines have always managed to stay one step ahead of the attempts to end their family reign.

A Secret Force

The Tudines have a secret system of spies that only they and the spies know of. This secret system has no name so that it cannot be referred to and discovered. These hires are trained to spy and assassinate, and their most important directive is to nip uprisings early on.   Even more so than the Language Keepers, this force reports the going ons of siren settlements. They are highly skilled at seeing the unseen, and being unseen themselves. If suspicion around such a force existing has arose, it has not been given the chance to travel far.

Origins

This elite force stays within the family, meaning that their training and secrets have been kept within one long line, nearly as old as the Tudines themselves. Due to the erosive nature of siren writing, it is not completely clear when this force was originally hired, but generally accepted by the Tudines that it was Tudine's granddaughter, Resila Tudine during her reign.

Codes

This force is the only other group of people who know the siren written language, Mitas. They communicate using a coded version of it, that appears normal to the eye of a Language Keeper. It is likely that most of this force or family poses as language keepers due to this knowledge.

Ooo, I love that this force doesn't even have a name - except, I guess, the Unnamed. That makes it even more mysterious. I like the little added bit of information that siren language is erosive (I guess the materials it is written on, more than the language itself). That's a nice little touch.

I'm glad it comes off as mysterious, and not as if I don't quite know what's happening myself. Lol!
