Vhi Grave-Rhitt was the first ihkt Representative to join the UGF's Council, and her formidable work set the tone for ihkts the galaxy over. Thought of as little more than a brute, a primal sort of savage, Vhi proved to her fellow Representatives--and via then, the entire galaxy--that ihkts are as capable as everyone else, intimidating appearance and hostile homeplanet and all.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Vhi is pretty ordinary for an ihkt, though slightly taller than average; appropriately buff with strong muscles to lend her strength. Her horns are smooth and curve backwards, her pointed ears mid-sized. She was in excellent shape, and maintained it throughout her entire life, even as a Representative.

Personal history

Vhi lived a fairly ordinary life on Taskke, back when it was still unknown to the galaxy. She was well-liked among those who knew her, the right mix of determined, steadfast, and charismatic for her fellow ihkts to know she was a dependable sort of person. She was known to be ruthless, operating at least 60% on spite alone: tell her she couldn't do something, and you just guaranteed that she will, in fact, manage to do it.
When the UGF made contact with Taskke, the ihkts were tasked with selecting a single person to represent them in the Council. Vhi's clan suggested her, and after several weeks of measuring up against everyone else, both in physical and mental strength... she won. Vhi Grave-Rhitt became the first ihkt to join the UGF's Council, and became the Representative of the ihkts of Taskke.
As her fellow Representatives soon found out, Vhi was a stellar choice. With most of the galaxy seeing ihkts--and thus, her--as dumb brutes, Vhi's ran circles around them. Though some stereotypes still persist, they are a rare thing; Vhi's skill in the Council wiped away almost all of faulty assumptions.

Like many ihkts, Vhi has little care or interest in gender. Her native language uses no gendered pronouns, but in other languages she also accepts feminine pronouns, with no preference one way or another. Mostly, the whole gender thing seems like an unnecessary hassle to her.

Employment

Vhi became a Representative at age 30, after spending several weeks before showing her skill for the role. Before that, she worked a variety of jobs, based on what was needed. Taskke is not the sort of planet for lollygagging, after all. She primarily worked jobs with a strong social aspect, due to her skill with people, but she was not above making her hands dirty with hard, manual work.
She remained as the ihkts' Representative for decades, before eventually being replaced by someone younger, more capable of keeping up with the ever-changing galaxy. Though most ihkts would work until they no longer could, the changes of the galaxy eased strain on their people, and Vhi was personally responsible for most of that. As such, she retired after her work as a Representative, though she still helped out where she could.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Vhi's claim to fame is, without doubt, her role as the ihkts' first Representative. Others thought of her as shallow, of her people as stupid brutes. But Vhi blew them--and their impressions--out of the water, displaying her keen intellect and sharp mind, classic education or no. Her decades as a Representative have allowed her to aid in the making of countless decisions for the good of the galaxy, while also bettering the reputation of her people.

Failures & Embarrassments

Though it is hard to pinpoint a specific failure, or at least one big enough to measure up against the good she did over the course of her life, Vhi did have a major failing... or something she considered a failure, anyhow. She considered her inability to keep up with the changing of the galaxy as time went on a failure, felt that she failed to adapt fast enough as she aged. This ended up being the reason for her to retire from her post.

As a Representative, Vhi was known to dress up nicely, to the point of being zealous about doing so. It made many think she was shallow, getting her position just for the glamour of it, but in truth she enjoyed the opportunity to indulge in something she never could on Taskke.

Wealth & Financial state

Like many ihkts, Vhi has little use for wealth, though she has acquired fairly much of it... for an ihkt. Working as a Representative for decades, she was paid well, though she was never shy about spending it. Still, her safe home on Haven allowed her to acquire quite a few possessions, things which she never would've (or could've) kept on Taskke, where a sudden volcanic eruption could've wiped them from existence again. Upon her return to Taskke after retirement, she gave away quite a few of her possessions for that exact reason, with the remainder being given to her clan after her death.
