Wolves are predatory canines that hunt alone or in packs and are quite territorial. They vary in height from two-and-a-half feet to three feet at the shoulder and generally weigh anywhere between 45 to 150 pounds. Females of a species tend to be slightly smaller than the males. Their coats range widely in color from grey to brown or even black among some species. Their most well-known feature is their mournful howl, with which they communicate to pack members and other wolves. Wolves are widespread throughout the wildernesses of Kelldoria: among other locations, wolves are found in The Darkwald Forest, The Great Elk Plains, The Great Elk Woodlands, The Black Boar Wood, The Wolf Wood, Wolf Ridge, The Wintermist Plains, The Wintermist Woodlands, The Frost Spires, The Bleaks, The Upper Frost Spires and The Frostfall Mountains.
