Background Story:

It’s completely unknown if Dianisty had been around since the beginning of time, or if he is just a fictional being created by drunkards and bards. The first known mention of Dianisty was in 1374 by a lowly drunken monk who was down on his luck and money. Passed by word of money for generations, Dianisty has never been known to perform an actual miracle nor communicate with a priest of his. Priests of other faiths ridicule his followers and refuse to recognize any formal holidays and question every self-professed miracle.

Achievements: While Dianisty has no known achievements, his followers have plenty. From the local drunk with the most bar fights won to the many, many, drunken bastard children, Dianisty has been accredited with things across the board with the vilest of crimes to unusual creations.

Worshipping: Every tavern, bar and inn has a small shrine to the Brazened One. Every shrine has a spot set for the god at a small table which is covered by a golden colored table cloth and a small candle. The “priests” of the god have been known to spill a small amount of alcohol in a container that is always kept close to the shrine, although they are also known to punish those who pour drink onto a floor without the proper right.

Ceremonies/Holidays:

Saturday – The day of drink is a weekly event for those who follow the Drunken Monkey. While the “priests” are forever in the chaos sphere and try to follow no organized precepts, drinking on a Saturday is not because they have to, but because they want to.

Volenar – every 3 years, after the wine harvest has finished fermenting, the “priests” of Dianisty go on a 3 day drinking binge to honor their god and their way of life.

Noteable Minions or NPC’s: There is no hierarchy in the religion of Dianisty, priests answer to no one save themselves and their god, and every town has at least one priest.
