AMA, God of Healing
Holy Symbol:
Domain: Healing
Favored Weapon: Scalpel
Favored Race: Human
Favored Class: Fighters & Thieves
Background story:
Started out as a healer and was renowned for being able to cure or heal any affliction, for the right price. Favored fighters and thieves, for their propensity to get injured and have the cash to be healed. Brought into godhood by Loki, because he liked the chaos of the idea of healing a bad guy because he had the gold, but letting a good man die because he didn’t.
Achievements: Methos later became the founding principles of the American Medical Association
Worshipping: It is the Clerics duty to heal all who come to him regardless of race, class or alignment, for a price. Clerics also create charms and potions that are sold to aid in healing. Fighters and Thieves receive discounts for repeat business. While visiting foreign cities, Clerics are to find wealthy neighborhoods for expansion, and report back during their yearly pilgrimage. It is also the duties of the head clerics to get on the city council and spread the word of AMA by denouncing hedge wizards and witches and creating laws against them.. The main temple is called the Freiburg Temple of AMA. Established by the first cleric of AMA. In most cities it is common to find a Ben the Archer shrine for AMA. And in remote areas, it is possible to fine the Outreach shrine of AMA. Followers of AMA are generally of neutral alignment, because they need to get along with everyone.
Omens and Signs: The god shows disfavor on his followers by gifting them with excess gas. The gas causes hallucinations that some have misinterpreted and based a sect on it. AMA is know to communicate with his followers in repetitive dreams. The favored of AMA are said to be spoken to through white mice. Serpents are always a bad omen to the followers of AMA
Artifacts: One can tell they are in a temple or shrine of AMA by Blue shield hanging on a wall with a blue sword emblazoned on it. Clerics carry a holy scalpel, that cuts away disease.
Ceremonies/Holidays:
Oktoberfest: Clerics and priest drink and hope for a vision from their god.
Mid-summers day: The Celebrated day of the birth of their god. (Although it’s reputed that he was actually born in winter.)
Ascension Day: this day Celebrates AMA’s ascension to godhood.
Ceremony of surgery, the attempt to heal a sickness by cutting it out.

The chain of command for these sects are as follows:
Hierophant

The Order of Freiburg, dedicated to serving the wealthy of a city. The Order of Ben the Archer, dedicated to serving working class people. The Order of the Flatuents, the misguided order that believes anyone should be healed for free.
Aphorisms and Words of Wisdom: Everyone deserves to be healed, for a price.
Noteable Minions or NPCs: The high priest’s name is Heinrich Hengesbaugh, a weasily looking man in his mid 50’s with brown hair and eyes, and a gas problem that his minions refuse to acknowledge. Each temple keeps white mice as pets.
