Hive Secundus

Hive Secundus is the first stopping point of the pilgrims who 'walk the Saint's path', as it is claimed by the Ecclesiarchy that Saint Sabbat's landing on Kastellia was where hive Secundus was founded. As such, Hive Secundus is heavily influenced by the Ecclesiarchy.

Demographics

Pilgrims come from all across the Imperium to start their paths. Some claim that at the start of the Sabbat worlds reclimation crusade, even Warmaster Slaydo visited the Cathedral of Sabbat on Hive Secundus.

Government

Though the hive is officially an Imperial controlled hive, the Ecclesiarchy has huge sway in hive politics. Noble House Quintus, who have strong ties to the Ecclesiarchy also have most of their assets in hive Secundus

Like the other hives, the main industry of Secundus is Promethium and the supporting industries that aid it. the mainstay of trade however is the pilgrims that come to Secundus, countless pilgrim sanctuary facilities are spread around secundus, all ran and paid for by House Quintus

History

It is claimed by the Ecclesiarchy that the site where hive Secundus would be later built was where Saint Sabbat first made planet fall and bid her followers to search for the promethium that would later lead to the planet being so vital to the Imperium.

Architecture

The Architecture of Secundus is in great contrast to the other hives. with its status as a holy place the Ecclesiarchy spared no expense in the beautiful clean white and polished glass that make up the mainstay of buildings, even something as mundane as a mass housing apartment block. gilded cherubim statues and public fountains dot the wide clean streets. As long as you stay out of the hot or cold sides, where the illusion of a holy Utopian hive soon falls away into the slums that plague every imperial hive.
