Primary industry is promethium, as Primus is the capital it is also where most deals regarding promethium industry are made, all noble houses maintaining offices for their corporate workforce to direct their economic empires.
other than the promethium industry, most trade makes up supporting commence for the prometium industry, however some tourisim comes in the form of pilgrims on their way to Hive Secundus to 'walk the saint's path' as it's called.

Mainly used as a cheaper way to bulk carry promethium into space and ferry supplies down, the elevator is capable of transporting people also however.

PDF Regimental Garrison and barracks

each Hive has a PDF regiment in garrison, with one regiment conducting garrison duties spread out across the minor settlements, promethium mines and research installations that dot the planet. the regiments rotate every year. some of the PDF top brass say 4 years in the comfort of a hive garrison barracks and only one in the field makes the men soft. However the enlisted personnel and junior officers don't seem to have such worries.

Guilds and Factions

The 4 noble houses of Kastellia all have pressence within the hive, however the current planetary governor hails from House Barlock; so they hold much sway with planetary politics and for now at least, are keeping the other houses in line.

History

Hive Primus was the first imperial hive built when the planet's worth finally warranted such an undertaking, the other 3 hives springing up after and for their own reasons.

Architecture

The Architecture of Primus would be almost indistinguishable from many other standard template hive cities on other worlds. It's only difference being the higher than average availability of public access hovercraft in the form of a hive wide taxi service. such strange luxury was the brainchild of Halmaat ulster Barlock XIV, who in his senile later years spent a vast amount of House Barlock's fortune importing thousands of hover-cars from nearby forge worlds for his personal use. He claimed that it would save him having to 'drive on the filthy ground with the commoners'. the purchase was not noticed until it was too late, however House Barlock managed to spin it as a philanthropic gesture to the people of all the hives who often couldn't afford their own transports. suffice to say, House Barlock was more popular than ever, guaranteeing them the Governorship come next election for the other Houses would not risk not voting them in; in fear of rioting from the impoverished masses.
