The winged aviary men of Sun Mountain are known as Arrakian. Often found with two to four wings or wings for arms they are a warrior species that relies on the structure of their society and worship of their gods to hold their lives together. Often seen as one of the ancient races they have history far predating others and it is often compared to Elvish history.
Anatomy & Morphology
Arrakians often have thin body frames and hollow bones allowing for better flight. Able to have anywhere from 25 to 4 wings or even have their very arms be their wings, they often average around 150cm to 200cm in height and are slow on foot.
Genetics and Reproduction
An impregnation period of one month after which an egg is passed out to be nurtured for years to come.
Growth Rate & Stages
By the time an Arrakkian is 3 years old they have reached their average of 5-7 feet tall and are considered an “unhatched chick” by the Age of 5 an Arrakkian undergoes the trial of “hatching” and upon their success are considered an adult member of the flock.
Ecology and Habitats
Arrakian are masters of the skies and lords of the forests. Often building their homes atop high peaks or at the tops of trees, if they can avoid touching the ground they often will.
Dietary needs and habits
Arrakians are primarily herbavores and due to their high built homes they often train other aviary creatures to hunt down on the ground if nececary however more often than not they keep plants in their own homes to feed their families, making a flock entirely self sufficient.
Perception and Sensory capabilities
Aside from their sharp vision and slightly above average hearing the Arrakian do not have any additional sensory capabilities.
