The Rabid Lands

The Rabid Lands lie to the eastern coast of Yuruk-Tar. They mark the borders of civilization and the beginning of the true wilderness of Yuruk-Tar. In the founding years of Yuruk-Tar guilds and adventurers worked tirelessly to slay the monsters that threatened civilizations. They managed to make most of Silvaria safe as well as the Land of the Sun, however they did not make it to the eastern coast. In the Rabid Lands powerful beasts rule and civilization is crushed under the claws of monsters. The few settlements that exist either live in one of the few peaceful places in the region or consist of such hardy folk that they can fend off the monsters that live on the edges of their lands. The land is also plagued by frequent tremors and the coasts of the land occasionally bring a mist that takes away any that enter it.

Geography

The Rabid-Lands are largely dominated by plains similar to Silvaria however tundra lies to the north, forests dot the landscape, and The River of Origin divides into several rivers that divide the land. To the south the deserts lie originating from the Land of the Sun and even some of the Red Forest lies there. Forests dot the landscape and ravines are rare but not non-existent, especially to the north.

Fauna & Flora

Similar to Silvaria the large variety of ecosystems and climates in the Rabid Lands make it home to most kinds of creatures except those that live in tropical climates. Dragons make up a surprisingly large portion of the population of these lands. Bison roam the fields and hares and meerkats can be found among the tall grass.

Natural Resources

Because civilization has struggled to survive in these lands few resources have been discovered if they exist however lumber is in good supply if one goes to the many forests dotting the land and the mines in the Citadel have turned up large amounts of gold and precious gems in addition to iron and copper.
