The Freedom Festival

All around Yuruk-Tar the Freedom Festival is celebrated on Greytimber 40th. It marks the day that brave heroes of Yuruk-Tar banished the giants from Karnum and so ended their reign over the humanoid races. Festivals are held in every village to memorialize this achievement. Celebrations vary depending on the town but there is usually a speech given by a person of prestige to remind the peoples of what they are celebrating.

History

On Graytimber 40th, 168, the remaining armies of Silvaria along with a group of heroes managed to defeat Magnus and his army of giants. After failing their God, Annam the All Father, a second time he banished them to the elemental plains. On that day all the races rejoiced as they had regained their freedom and no longer had to live in hiding or be slaves.

Execution

Given the nature of the holiday it is emphasized that any culture does what they please for their festival. However traditionally the celebration are started by a person of importance giving some sort of speech to bring attention to what they are celebrating. Afterwards bards may sing of freedom and children may try and knock down a wooden giant with a stone however a person could find anything during these festivities.
