Ristin Barneybog

Ristin Barneybog is a famous halfling highwayman know to be ruthless to travelers who try and cross him, or fail to provide the necessary tolls. While small, Ristin is a talented rogue, and his band of thieves add additional firepower when needed. Ristin was originally trained by the Thieves Guild of Grayton's Lot before being recruited by the Order of Eight. Ristin hated being told what to do by the Order and left halfway into his tenure as a journeyman, taking many secrets with him. To this day the Order has a standing bounty of 2000 gold for his capture or proof of his death.   Ristin is a rough halfling. His clothes are made of tough leathers from creatures he has killed while on the road. He has long shaggy sandy blond hair, many scars on his hands, and a demeanor of commanding respect.   Ristlin has a band of seven other assorted ruffians working for him. His a competent strategist, and is always looking to add to his contingent.   While Ristlin lets his victims go if he gets the necessary "toll", those that fight back or refuse to pay when they obviously could are usually kidnapped and ransomed or tortured and killed, or sometimes both.   While Ristlin was an adventurer for several years for the Order, he thrives as a thief and leader. While working for the Order he acquired a few useful magic items, which he still has today including a (5th ed items) ring of protection +2, ring of feather fall, boots of jumping, and a +1 Valinse shortsword which does an additional 1d6 Nethen magic damage on a successful hit.
