The Story of the Coming of the Gods
This story is true. It tells of how the gods found their way into the world, and the role we Halfings played, and still do, in the matters of the gods... Rhena Stonewall, cleric of the Sun Charioteer.
Summary
In the dying days of the Old Age, after the Elders in the Dark were driven of into the darkest deeps of the oceans , and the embers of magic were still brimming with power, the Dragons slept, and for a while, the world was in darkness.
But, a single distant entity, known only as The Traveler, saw the light of the Embers, and went to see the world.
He saw the world, and saw that a Shadow was creeping into it, but knew that he alone could not defeat it. He looked for those responsible for the Embers of Magic -the Dragons- to help him, but there were into deep torpor.
So then, he decided to seek other like him, from other places. He set about to seek other entities in other realms, and told them what he saw, and eventually, they came with him.
They were the gods, and with them, another ember was lit: The Ember of divine magic.
Historical Basis
There really is no historical basis of this, but every region of the world does have its own variation of the 'the gods finding the world' .
Spread
The Story is different from region to region, but it does have similar tones: After the Dragonfire, the gods find Karash, and spread their faith amongst the mortals; how and why, it changes from religion to religion
Variations & Mutation
Some Halflings, especially those who are clerics of the Northen gods, say that after the gods found Karash, and began to spread their influence on the world, The Traveler split into many shards, so to be in many places at once in the world, and this is how Halflings came to be
Cultural Reception
Most religious peoples of Karash take the story as canon in the majority of the sense.
However, the Halfing's take on The Traveler is met with skepticism, except with some of the Dragonborn and Tabaxi, whom believe that it might be true.
