Isyel
Deity of Rebellion & Anarchy
Goddess of Wishes and Wrath
Legends claim that thousands of years ago it was relatively common for Isyel to make crucial appearances in battle - in largescale warfare against those who would favour oppression or slavery - while calling legions of undead to defend her chosen side.
Myths often associate her with undead creatures kept in the material world against their will, either victims of unnatural deaths or kindly creatures with unfinished work that somehow refused to move on. These undead souls seemed to follow her willingly into battle but also do her bidding and work as messengers or couriers of her divine will. They appear when she can't, delivering important words of wisdom or liberating those imprisoned for fighting against unjust laws. There are a handful of specific legends that pair her with incorporeal undead (i.e. ghosts, phantoms, etc) and helping them to pass beyond Kaos into the afterlife.
There are also many stories involving her adventures with mortal companions. Because of her depiction as a powerful force for freedom and chaos, many poets and bards have written balads of her great deeds and ascribed them to somewhat more romantic situations. Sometimes a story will change so much between tellings that it becomes an entirely new tale and now it's impossible to know which songs and stories are true myths and which ones were invented by storytellers and dramatists.
She is usually depicted as either Maenar's sister or daughter, but almost never interacts with Maenar in legends and myths.
Era of the Yellow Bloom
Roughly four-thousand years ago, around the signing of the Treaty of Allegri, her name was frequently invoked by those who abused her divine intent. Human bandits and godfearing maurauders would wear her holy flower, the yellow chrysanthemums, while 'liberating' goods from honest folk or raiding towns and villages. This organization came to be known as The Yellow Bloom, and they were one of the only major unlawful holdouts against he human alliance all across Allegri.
The guild of criminals was nearly erradicated several hundred years ago by a coterie of undead in the service of Isyel, reclaiming her symbol and clarifying without doubt that her eagerness to fight for individual freedoms does not extend to theft or violence against goodly folk.
Before this, despite readily standing strong in battle, Isyel was seen as a benign and somewhat helpful deity. Now it was made evident she is a mighty force to be reconed with and unforgiving of those who infringe on the freedoms of others, especially while claiming loyalty to her causes. This act solidified her place as a primary deity among the Speaking Gods. Prior to this she was generally relegated to being the sister or sometimes daughter of Maenar, when she was mentioned at all.

Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Very tall and thin, Isyel's appearance is the most widely known of all the Speaking Gods. She always appears wearing a pale blue formal gown with a red bodice and blue and yellow sleeves. Her curly dark brown hair is always closely cropped and despite the intricate and detailed dress, Isyel isn't usually seen wearing any form of jewelry or accessories.
She nearly always has a warm expression and her posture is welcoming to all she appears to, unless reason for her appearance is unpleasant; in these cases she has been seen wearing gold-toned chainmail armor, and wielding a one-handed sword with yellow flowers twining around the hilt and up her art to her shoulder.
