Mushicaa

Mushicaa is the first ancient city on planet Kamenzaan to be discovered by evolving Gentlings and re-built for their use. Home of the Great Library, where the knowledge of those who came before is kept until the Gentlings figure out how to interpret the ancient texts and pictures. The city has the highest concentration of artists, scholars and scientists. It also has one of the easiest climates for Gentlings to farm, thus it's being one of the earlier settlements. Some of the oldest Gentling family names reside in Mushicaa.

Geography

Mostly flat, coastal, water runs through the city in both aqueducts and rivers. Warm and sunny with mild winters, good climate for trees and bushes. Travel to other cities is mostly by land. Gentlings don't make use of other animals for transportation, they travel in packs, and haven't figured out how the ruins of transportation machines left behind by the ancients work yet. They have small boats, but have not explored the ocean. There are Gentling mythologies that unknown creatures inhabit the ocean, most of them are afraid to go there.

Fauna & Flora

Fields of flowers, trees, small animals forage for nuts, roots and berries. Similar to small mammals on earth, with long sharp claws for digging. Larger cat-like creatures feed on the smaller animals, but are friendly to Gentlings. There are some large birds, but most of the insect population is controlled by carnivorous butterflies.

Natural Resources

Most of the natural resources have been used up by the previous occupants. Water is plentiful, as is vegetation. Along the bottoms of aqueducts and rivers there is a layer of slime which the Gentlings farm. They can filter it, separating part for fertilizer, bits of solid mater are removed for further inspection. Some elements of the slime can also be used to make medicines.
