A fight between powerful dimension masters destroys several dimensions causing other dimensions to crash into each other. One of those worlds was a world very similar to ours (in fact you probably wouldn’t even notice the differences). Since the collision of several other dimensions with it, it has become filled with different types of magic and fraught with the dangers that go with. Slightly post-apocalyptic.
