The Noble House of Aeswick

Remnants of the Noble House of Aeswick can still be found all across Kaigan, even many years after the The Prime Revolt in which this monarchy was overthrown by the country wide rebellion.

Monarchy

For most of the recent history of Kaigan, the Noble House of Aeswick has held leadership over the country. Established quickly after the Shattering around Trisza, they slowly extended their monarchy to encompass all of the country, holding relative peace for the longest period of time to this date. Over the years they have tried to expand both across the Savage Divide as well as over sea, but both endeavours were without much success.
While most of Kaigan has, at some point, belonged to this Noble House, Rasvich has always managed to stay distant from the monarchy due to their extremely secluded and defendable position within the mountains of the Savage Divide.

Downfall

While there had been various other attempts to overthrow the Aeswick Monarchy in the years of their rule, it took a long time and eleven years of conflict for the Noble House of Aeswick to be finally overthrown by the general public.
The ever increasing taxation and rules of the Noble House of Aeswick lead to various small revolutions and conflicts that were later classified as the three uprisings during the Prime Revolt. It took until the collected war effort and the siege on Aeswick keep of the Third Uprising, lead by Zigran Turoc, that the last king of the Aeswick Monarchy, King Pergavin of Aeswick, and the other heirs to the throw were presumed dead. This marked the end of the Prime Revolt and the Noble House of Aeswick.

Current Whereabouts

The biggest mystery of the Noble House of Aeswick is the lack of evidence of the dead of the noble family. While cleaning and restoring Aeswick Keep into the The Gallowyn Institute for Martial and Arcane Training after the keep being bombarded with spells, no one found remnants of the noble family who had been presumed to be inside the keep at the time of bombardments. The only thing found were underground sewer entrances, but those didn’t look to be used recently.
