Taiyo Tribe (Tai-jo or Taa-jo)

The Taiyo Tribe is a nomadic group living in the Akazi desert.

Daily life

As a nomadic tribe, the Taiyo Tribe travels around the Akazi desert. In the past this was for gathering enough food and water, but now this is mainly out of traditional reasons. These days their main income comes from the trading they do with the various cities that border the desert. Within the tribe there are various smaller groups that all have specific tasks such as navigators, hunters and carers. These groups make sure everyone is accounted for and that the whole tribe makes it safely across. The tribe uses various animals that help with survival by aiding in things like hunting, carrying or navigating.
For clothes they wear various traditional garments that help protect against the heat, the sun and the harsh winds. These consist of long light coloured robes with long sleeves as well as shawls that are worn covering most of the head and face, leaving often only the eyes exposed. To protect against the cold nights their tents are made from thick and insulation materials.

Export

Madness

The main export product of the Taiyo Tribe is Madness. Outside of some specific circles this is not very well known as not many directly interact with the Taiyo Tribe. Their most important customer is The Order as they distribute Madness throughout the country. Madness itself is hightly sought after as it is one of the most readily available hallucinogenics and it has only mild symptoms in case of overuse. Furthermore the methods of creating Madness are mostly kept a secret by the Taiyo Tribe, making them the only ones to produce and sell the drug.

Desert navigators

People of the Taiyo Tribe are known for being the best desert navigators. They are often tasked by various outside people to transport goods or people through the desert as this is safer than trying it themselves and quicker than sending it around. This can either be done by letting the people or goods travel with the main tribe if it does not have haste or paying extra and sending a small group of skilled tribesmen.
