The Heart of Iea (Ai-ˈEe-Ah)

At the moment of Creation, Iea, The Creatrix split into millions and millions of shards, some larger, some smaller, and those shards became everything that was. However, there was one small shard that pierced a deep cavern and struck a diamond. That one shard was refracted by the diamond's facets into five other diamonds, and those diamonds were transformed, pulsing with color. Each one had a fraction of the power of Iea, and the first diamond most of all. It pulsed like the heart of the goddess, herself.   Thoalo, the Elven God of Artistry, felt this collision and sought out the source. He found the 6 gemstones, took them up and carried them quickly to his workshop, for he knew the power they possessed. He worked all night, crafting things of beauty, then placed the uncut stones in them, for he did not wish to waste Iea's power. When he had finished, he looked at his work, and realized what he had done. The gems were small, yes, but they carried the raw strength of creation inside. Before him was more power than any mortal, any one god, should ever wield, and yet he had not the heart to destroy them. He was troubled, and paced a great deal, thinking. Finally he knew what to do.   Thoalo gathered up the items he had made and went in search of the goddesses of his pantheon. He found Isioal first, the Goddess of Stars, and gave her an onyx anklet, with the raw black diamond in it, one that carried the power of the dark and the shadows, of unmaking, even.   Then he found Sosherai, Goddess of the Sea, and gave her the belt, worked with sapphires and containing one of what Thoalo was calling 'focus stones,' this one of course carrying the powers of water, tide and erosion. To Enyella, Goddess of the Hearth, he gave a ruby bracelet with the focus stone of all the powers of fire, from hearth, to inferno, to even the passion in living, thinking beings. Cayrax, Goddess of Magic received the air focus stone, in an armband set with dark yellow topaz. It had the power to move the winds, sweep up storms, and blow away
buildings. The necklace of emeralds, with the green focus stone of earth, and growth of plants and animals naturally went to Lealra, the Goddess of Nature. Which left Thoalo with one piece of jewelry left, but this was the most important one of all.   He went to Sylrie, the Goddess of Sylras, and held out a beautiful diamond tiara with a trembling hand. For this was no focus stone, it was the first diamond, the very Heart of Iea, herself. It could control the spirit and the soul, the essence of a person. Sylrie took it and knew it for what it was.   Then Thoalo told her the story of finding the gems, and how he had given each goddess control of one stone. For each could be deadly if in the wrong hands, especially the Heart, but if they were ever combined, the one who held them would wield more power than the gods combined. So, Sylrie took possession of the Heart, but made Thoalo go and inform each goddess of the raw energy they now guarded. And the goddesses guard the power of the Heart of Iea to this day.

An humble quest to have acted as such. i like the fact he kept the diamonds in their raw state. How as the gifting done ? On some altar ? were the goddesses accepting it in a physical form ? Has there been any attempt by someone, deity or not, to acquire one ?   Overall a well explained artefact. Happy summercamp !

He was a God, so no need to worry about how the Goddesses appeared, he would see them naturally. As for the rest, not sure yet.
