33 Firebub
Name: Firebub
Descendant of: Bubgum
Description: Those bubgum and spibub who reached central and Southern ocean outside of the gyre would die under chaotic coastal conditions. The few that survived were those bubgum that could withstand being battered around without being damaged or tangled, abandoning the raft-forming strategy and becoming small, fast-maturing, short-lived, versatile and dispersed instead.
Their bubbles are not as prominent a structure, the surface of the ocean can be quite forceful and isn't always the best place to be when the surf whips up at the coast.
At the tips of the hair-like mass is spore-bearing tissue. Most don't produce a lot of spores, but a few become bloated overgrowths with an excessive amount of spore production. These organs break off easily in stormy waves and when this happens it can develop into a whole new plant.
Reproduction: It reproduces by growth and fragmentation (clones) and asexual spores from overgrowths at the hair-like ends.
Food: Photosynthesis
