Shield Guard

The standard soldier class of the Tebtai. They are not particularly fearsome solo combatants, but when in groups, their tactics and shield formations are formidable. The Shield Guard will often work in small groups, led by a Commander.

Composition

Weaponry

The Shield Guard wield long glaives and rectangular shields. The Glaive is wielded with both hands, or, can be propped against a small semicircular cut-out in the shield for one handed combat. The Shield Guard also carry javelins for ranged attacks.

Tactics

The strength of the Shield Guard comes from their remarkable group tactics. When arranged in formation, their shields are arranged to protect the entire group, whilst glaive attacks are made through the gaps.
