Scaled Soldier

The prophecy of the Scaled Soldier speaks of a mortal who aided Kakoht, Tebat and Charia in defeating Grazzt and Diamund during Awol Saisho.

Summary

The Scaled Soldier was allegedly a mortal who dealt the final blow against Diamund during Awol Saisho.   It is said that they shall return to Besol when the world needs them most, and shall be identified easily as a "being both dragon and human". This statement is heavily debated, as it is unclear exactly what this might look like.   It is stated that the Scaled Soldier is capable of facing the Abyss and living, which is widely believed to mean that the Solder is able to cheat death.

Historical Basis

Whilst the historical accuracy of accounts regarding Awol Saisho is questionable, many agree that the "Scaled Soldier" did most likely exist, but that his supernatural abilities and description may not be entirely true.

Spread

The legend is quite popular in Besol, especially within Arnak and even more so among worshippers of Kakoht.

Cultural Reception

Arnak citizens, especially worshippers of Kakoht are quite receptive to the legend of the Scaled Soldier, and many do believe they are likely to return.   The tale is not so well received in Tebtai, and the Tebtai Ten view it as a potentially somewhat dangerous tale.

In Literature

Although not appearing in the main religious texts of Kakoht, the Scaled Solder appears in many books across genres, both religious prophecies and far-fetched fiction.

In Art

It is not uncommon to hear a song dedicated to the Scaled Sorcerer, or find a painting of them, or perhaps even a statue.
