Repbulic of Kayemba Clans

A colossal expanse of grassland, mostly home to the nomadic horse-riding Kayemba people. The republic is ruled by the Council of Elders. Each Kayemba clan is led by an Elder. Although no one Elder rules the Kayemba, the most venerable is often easily identified. The emblem of Kayemba is a strip of beige underneath a strip of blue, with a horse's head in the centre.

Structure

Each Kayemba clan is led by an Elder, often advised by “lesser Elders”, these Elders are often literally the eldest still capable of leadership. The Elders live in relative peace, but rarely come together, aside from in times of great difficulty such as war and famine. No one Elder rules the Kayemba, the most venerable Elder can sometimes be easily identified, other times minor conflict may arise over which holds more authority.
