Charznos and Orain Character in Jiwenia | World Anvil

Charznos and Orain

And so, they clashed. And from their clash came two figures that looked upon them in awe, and upon each other in love. One reminded Orain of themselves, and so they named him Sun. While Charznos could not help but see themselves in the other and called her Moon.
The two beings responsible for not only creating Jiwenia but also, believed to have crafted the galaxy and beyond are known as Charznos and Orain. Seen by none other than the High Gods, these two beings are only speculated about, and rarely spoken of. Unlike the High Gods, neither Charznos nor Orain have temples to honor them1 or even holidays and events. They are mostly an afterthought, spoken of rarely, and only when it is in-depth talk about the creation of Jiwenia. At the most, there are few drawings along temple walls with rough conjectures about the highest beings.   Orain is described as a proud and great figure who was the first source of light for the galaxy. Orain swept through with burning energy, wishing to provide a dark landscape with their own energy. Charznos, on the other hand, was said to be quiet, detached, and thoughtful, and though they too had a light, it was much different from Orain's, depicted mostly by mist and chaotic swirls of color. Orain always being represented with much brighter colors than Charznos. Sometimes they are represented as dragons, other times Orain is a griffin and Charznos a dragon. Most story depictions simply see them as large traveling dust.
Over time, the two beings would clash over ideas, and these clashes began to form the universe. One particularly negatively fueled conflict led to the creation of Jiwenia, as well as the conception of an element known as Chaoxian, which gave birth to the High God Darkness. It was only after the two put aside their differences did they realize what they had caused. Seeking to rectify this mistake, the two once again clashed, though their negative energy was replaced by an overabundance of positivity. This time, giving birth to the High God Twins. Orain gave to Sun their light and pride while Charznos gave him their obedience and love for knowledge. To Moon, Charznos gave her their own form of light and their thoughtful and caring disposition, Orain gave their daughter their mercy and craftiness. Content, the two blessed their children and gifted them Jiwenia along with the role of governing and caring for the planet.   The tale ends here, for none know what has become of the two mighty beings. Many speculate that they are still crafting the galaxy, while others believe that they rest, watching Jiwenia from afar.
