Wuji Sima
Now known as Tu Shen, or Rabbit God, Sima Wuji was once a general in the Kingdom of Yue. Serving a monarch long deposed in the south of the Jiangshan, he had known war his entire life. His ascendancy to immortality came in the wake of pursuit by enemy forces, when he met the rabbit yao, Xue Guang.

Personal history
From a young age, Sima Wuji had shown an aptitude for leadership and study but in his homeland, the Kingdom of Yue, life fluctuated between unrest and outright war. As was expected of boys, his education was focused on combat, rather than academia and here he excelled. Helped in part by his father's esteem which meant he could afford food even in scarce times, he proved masterful as both combatant and eventually tactician.
Sima Wuji was thirteen the first time he saw actual conflict. The emperor who had conquered the Jiangshan was determined to subsume the Kingdom of Yue or be rid of it. And when the city gates fell, Sima Wuji, furious, rushed out to meet them head-on. He dealt his fair share of blows and deaths before having to be carried off but the mark he had made that day remained indelible in his people's minds.
Recruited into the military, he was fifteen when he saw his first battle from within the ranks of the military. And, again, he proved himself, so that he rose through the ranks faster than anyone before in the Kingdom of Yue's short history. It was due to this, at twenty five, that he found himself pursued through the forests of the kingdom's borders and subsequently taken in by a family of rabbit yao who nursed him back to health.
