History
An orphan, Qiuyue was raised by the Nanchang Sect, which she had been abandoned outside of as a newborn. She was eventually transferred from the general school to He Hongyi's care as his disciple. She was the thirteenth disciple to be given over to him. Her care - her meals, her lodging, her training, her education - became his responsibility from then on. Considered a problem child, Qiuyue was averse to learning. She didn't like having to sit through Daoist teachings and actively, physically resisted being sat down to be taught to read and write. Because of this, he would sit up with her at night in a vain attempt to help her. As with all of his students, he saw Qiuyue as a daughter but it quickly became clear that out of all of his children, she was his favourite. This sentiment was not outwardly returned. After the murder of the merchant, when Qiuyue was exiled, against all orders, he stopped her on the road. There he gave her supplies and a dao to protect herself with.
Nicknames & Petnames
He Hongyi calls her 'shisan', meaning thirteen. He used to also call her 'child' when she was under his care, mostly after she said something he found troubling.
