This game is played on a checkered 9x9 board with a 2x3 section facing both players. The 9x9 area is known as the War Zone and the 2x3 areas are known as Capitals or "Drop Zones." Pieces off the board form a players hand.
Each player has 15 pieces whose colour matches their Drop Zone and one of the colours in the War Zone. The pieces are flat with a straight line on one side and a bent line on the other side. If the straight line faces up when a piece moves it moves straight and if the bent line faces up it moves diagonally. Pieces cannot change direction during a move and only one piece may be moved per turn. Only one piece may occupy a square on the board. A piece flips once for every block it moves.
At the start of the game each player rolls a six-sided die and whoever rolls higher goes first. Each player rolls the die again at the start of their turn and the number rolled is the maximum number of blocks they can move. The player can choose to either move a piece that is already on the board or add a piece from their hand. When a piece is added, it begins straight side up and moves as normal, counting the player's hand as its starting block. Every enemy piece it crosses during its move is put into its owners hand. It ignores its own pieces.
Pieces in the Capital can't take, jump or flip. The game is won when the opponent has no pieces in the War Zone and cannot add pieces. The goal is to block your opponent's Capital with your own pieces and take all of the pieces already in play. This is called Sieging.
Pieces cannot enter a Capital once they leave. Pieces can be placed in any column of the Capital.
