Maya Rice

Maya Rice served in the United States Space Navy in her younger days. This put severe pressure on her marriage and her relationship with her daughter, since her duties took her away from Earth for long periods of time. She resigned from the navy but her relationships never recovered. She and her husband divorced. He moved to Australia with their daughter.
Maya now serves as first officer of the cruise ship Jewel of The Stars, second in command to Captain Miller.
