Basella is the matron of forests, farmlands, and life itself. Although more prominently worshipped in rural lands, her name is invoked at mealtimes and the birth of children. A common form of worship is to grow plants from seeds in her name, whether they are crops or decorative plants. Those who find her blessings receive bountiful harvests, livestock and children grow healthy and strong, and crops are hardier than ever.
