Personal history

Wamuri was born in 313 BBA to transient parents that moved from place performing magical services and allegedly fleeing the devils that pursued Wamuri's father. Wamuri's family moved from royal court to traveling show until misfortune once again caught up to Wamuri's father and forced the three of them to flee The Ackramorian Empire permanently. Wamuri's family then sought refuge in Tuls Eden, a well known center for arcane learning that was ruled by mage oligarchs. As seemed to be their curse, misfortune struck again when devils emerged from Wamuri's father's laboratory and rampaged through the city, killing dozens, including both of Wamuri's parents. Wamuri, at the time an adolescent, was then driven out of the city by the townsfolk for fear of future incidents and left to die in the countryside. Wamuri wandered the wilderness before being found and captured by bandits. When the bandits determined that they couldn't ransom the young elf, they resolved to kill her to avoid having her alert others of their location. Little did they know that a Kijarrish Kaisha had been stalking them and chose that moment to strike. With the bandits slain Wamuri was freed and she followed the Kaisha back to Kijarro, where she was taken in by a family of humble masons.   Wamuri outlived most of the family that had taken her in and eventually the greater Kijarrish people became her family. Wamuri wanted nothing more than to give back to the city state which, as far as she was concerned, gave her a chance at life when every other place had turned her out for the wolves. Wamuri saw the rise of slavery in Kijarro, which never sat well with her. Ultimately slavery largely died out in the regions to the north and south of Kijarro, suffocating the city state's economy as the slavery industry became a liability. Wamuri wished for her people to thrive and to throw off the cumbersome industry of slavery. Wamuri felt that she lacked purpose and, seeking to serve her city state, began research into the arcane and any field that might yield results that could save Kijarro from poverty.   In 95 BBA, Wamuri made a discovery that would alter the course of history for Kijarro. Wamuri discovered a new material, Condensed Spark, and a reliable way to create it. Wamuri's research took decades and the secrets of her discoveries remain closely guarded secrets known only to Wamuri herself and the members of The Last Service Guild. Condensed Spark is a superior material to treated water for use in alchemy as a foundation for potions and its discovery revitalized the Kijarrish economy by creating a new and wildly successful artisanal class of alchemists. Wamuri still serves as The Last Servant in the Last Service Guild, but has become something of a recluse despite her popularity among her adoptive people.   Unknown to the wider public, Wamuri is said to suffer from tormenting visions and bouts of insanity which have worsened in recent years.

Mental Trauma

The research into Condensed Spark is believed to have ravaged Wamuri's mind. Wamuri has also become notoriously reclusive in recent years and is reported to have pushed even her closest confidants away. It is unclear what precisely the cause of Wamuri's mental decline is, but some speculate that it has to do with the controversial nature of the liquefaction process used to create Condensed Spark, or possibly her father's occult dealings.
