Talon Spire

Geography

Talon Spire is the largest mountain on Jeharr, even among the other World Spires. Talon Spire was once the meeting point between Dragons and Mortals, but ever since the destruction of the Crystal Council and the scattering of the Dragons, Talon Spire has become a perilous place for Dragon and Mortal kind alike.   Today, Talon Spire is a highly volatile volcano, erupting every few years. Talon Spire is surrounded by The Akim, a vast desert. The flatness of the surrounding desert only adds to the imposing visage. Talon Spire is covered in a nearly scale like type of rock that makes climbing the steep sides of the mountain treacherous. Sheets of the rock both are liable to sheer off under stress.

History

It is said that in the time of the Old World the Dragons and the Mortals of Jeharr convened to decide the fate of Jeharr following The Existential Permutation and The Ascendant War. The Dragons were as varied as Mortals in their designs but united by their pride. Violence with Mortal kind seemed inevitable.   Onus, the God of Perseverance had long since grown tired of immortal beings meddling in the affairs of Mortals. Onus raised a mighty mountain, reaching far up to touch the sky. It is said that this display from the God of Perseverence was both a demonstration of the Gods' power and an appeal for peace. The mountain became a bridge between the realm of dragons and Mortals. There the God sat, soon joined by the rest of the Gods, atop the mountain, awaiting the dragons for battle, or peace.   Ordeyter, the greatest of the dragons, descended from the sky to the Gods’ perch atop the mountain. Ordeyter had slain dozens of the Ancient Gods during the Ascendant war and could prove to be more than a match for the rest of the Gods. But when Ordeyter descended, peace was made, rather than war. And so the mountain in the desert became known as Talon Spire, the bridge between Jeharr, the land of mortals, and the Dragons of the Crystal Council.
