Gatesilver

Gatesilver is a material that was used to construct the Gates, and has recently been researched and more and more useful items are always being created from it. It can be enchanted to do almost anything with magic that is powerful enough. It is commonly mined on worlds like Ranghir and others. It is used in mechanical creations such as transport, and is now being militarized to become a weapon.

Gatesilver is nearly indestructible, and only the hottest forges can melt it. It has a reflective surface and a grey-ish colour, though it glows bright blue when being used with magic.

Physical & Chemical Properties

Gatesilver is hot and burns any who touch it, so enchanted gauntlets are worn to handle it. It is extremely heavy, twice the weight of iron.

Geology & Geography

It is found deep in the mountains, and mines kilometres deep are required to find it, but it is very rare and expensive to buy.
